Update: 7/22/22

So far, I have not heard any reports of casualties or injuries from yesterday's magnitude 5.9 in Myanmar. The second largest earthquake to have occurred in the world over the past 24 hours was a magnitude 5.5 54 km S of Isangel, Vanuatu which was about 5 hours ago. Earlier, a magnitude 5.2 occurred in Northern Honshu, Japan near the town of Misawa. It had a maximum Shindo rating of 4 in one area. It may not be that active out there right now, but there is still an extremely high potential for magnitude 6 or greater somewhere anytime now within the next 5-7 days. Potential candidates for the next strong earthquake would include: Myanmar, Indonesia(Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Halmahera, or the Banda Sea region), Western Turkey, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, possibly Japan and the Kuril Islands..
