A magnitude 6.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Aisen, Chile just over 2 hours ago. However, strong earthquakes have happened a lot in that part of the world so there have been no reports of it making any significant impact to residents nearest to the epicenter. There still may be more significant earthquake activity going on in the world this weekend or early next week. At the same time, it could be over for now. However, it still may be heated and a powerful earthquake somewhere cannot be ruled out. Other parts of the world that may be active would include: Tonga, Vanuatu, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Ecuador, Colombia, Central America. The last magnitude 7 or greater was on May 26.
