Report: 7.2.23

 


A magnitude 6.9 struck the Tonga region earlier. There was no tsunami danger for the US west coast, British Columbia, and Alaska, the US Tsunami Warning System said. The quake had a depth of 247 km(153.48 miles) the USGS said. Meanwhile, a magnitude 3.8 struck near Malibu, California several hours ago. There has also been more activity taking place up in Alaska. There continues to be a high potential for more significant earthquake activity in the world.
