Update: May 28, 2020

The chances of more powerful earthquakes somewhere in the world remain very high. There is now a very high chance for a magnitude 7 or greater somewhere anytime now or within the week ahead so far. The watch extends into June 2, 3, and 4 at this point. Something big could still occur somewhere at any time. I will be posting consistently if it changes. Regions that could be potential candidates for the next major quake include: Indonesia(Banda Sea, Molucca Sea, Java, Sumatra), Philippines(Mindanao, Luzon, or the Batan Islands), Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Vanuaru, New Zealand, Northern Mariana Islands, Taiwan, Japan(Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu, or the Ryukyu Islands), Kamchatka Peninsula, Kuril Islands, Aleutian Islands(Fox Islands, Andreanof Islands, or Rat Islands), Mexico(Chiapas, Michoacan, Oaxaca), Chile, Argentina, Andaman Islands, Myanmar, South Sandwich Islands..
It could still change at any time. There also may not be any major earthquake activity going on anywhere at all for another week at the same time. More significant EQ activity ramped up overnight(PDT) in the Western Ring of Fire. The largest was a magnitude 5.9 in the Tonga region. Closer to home, there may continue to be little going on here in Southern California for now. However, a magnitude 3-4+ event stands of a higher potential this weekend or next week so far. There may also be more mag. 3+ up in the Ridgecrest area any time or any day now. There has also been some more activity increasing in Central California.
