The chances of magnitude 7+ worldwide are extremely high now. A powerful earthquake is due to strike somewhere at any time or within the next 5 days so far. A magnitude 6.6 already occurred in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, South of the Island of Crete about several hours ago. There is the potential something larger could take place there. However, there are other regions that may be next in having a big quake anytime or day now. The areas that I have been most concerned about include: Central America(Chiapas-Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras), Ecuador, Peru, Chile, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Indonesia(Talaud Islands, Tanimbar Islands, Sulawesi, Java, Sumatra), Andaman Islands, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Northern Mariana Islands, Ryukyu Islands-Japan, Honshu or Hokkaido-Japan, Aleutian Islands(Alaska, U.S.A.)..
While it may be searing right now, it could end up going quiet again for a little while at the same time. There is also more activity heating up here in Southern California again so far. There is a strong chance for magnitude 3-4+ anytime now. There is also still a potential something more significant may be around the corner. There may also be more taking place in Central and Eastern California as well. I will not be surprised if it goes quiet again for now, but it has been heating up again since late last night.
