EQ WATCH: May 4 - 12, 2020

Yesterday, I made a post, but was somewhat doubtful that much was going on in the world just yet, so I deleted it. I have hemmed and hawed over whether I should declare a major earthquake watch for the world yet or not. I have seen it go several months without any quakes of magnitude 7 or larger anywhere in the world. This morning I decided to make a post. There is a very high chance of major earthquake activity somewhere in the world anytime now or within the next week so far. However, I will not be surprised if it doesn't happen within that time frame.
There is still an extremely high chance a powerful earthquake might hit somewhere in the world today, tomorrow, or later this week. Regions to look out for include: Japan(Honshu, Hokkaido, Ryukyu Islands, Izu Islands), Guam(Northern Mariana Islands), Indonesia(Talaud Islands, Halmahera, Tanimbar Islands, Sulawesi, or Java), East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Philippines, Andaman Islands, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Central America, and possibly Southern Alaska(the Kodiak Island region or the Aleutian Islands)..
So far, it looks like the activity in Southern California has decreased this morning. It may still shoot back up later today, but right now, there is not much going on anymore. I will have to wait and see. The activity may increase again today with more magnitude 3s and 4s or it may become very quiet again for now.
