Lately, I have been growing increasingly concerned about the Eastern Mediterranean Sea region. Large quakes are far less common there than in the most active places in the world such as Indonesia, Chile, Tonga, and Japan, but there still is a high risk a particularly big event is possible in the near future. It has had major earthquakes before.
There is even a possibility other parts of Eastern Europe such as Romania, that a significant event may take place there anytime or sometime in the near future. It also might not happen.
Besides the usual most active regions, Central Asia and Western China have been more active again recently. The is also a chance the Caribbean plate region is heating back up again. There is still more activity revving up here in Southern California. It may continue like this on into this weekend and even past that so far. More mag. 3-4+ events here and in other parts of the state may still be on the rise at any time.
