Report: 4.24-25.23

Another major earthquake struck today. A magnitude 7.1 happened off the west coast of Sumatra, Indonesia several hours ago. It initially triggered a tsunami warning, but it was lifted 2 hours later. The quake had a focal depth of 84 kilometres(52.2 miles). It struck at 3:00 a.m. local time. In Sumatra's capital Padang, the earthquake was felt strongly. Some people left their homes and evacuated the beaches. No damage has been reported so far. That region has been more active recently. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands in particular have been having activity recently. There still could be a lot going on out there.
