Report: 4.22.23


A magnitude 6.1 earthquake occurred in the Banda Sea hours ago. There have been no initial reports of damage or injuries. Significant damage is unlikely. It would take several hours for authorities to conduct comprehensive damage assessments, especially in remote areas. This event has not prompted any tsunami advisories. There may be more going on out there today or tomorrow.
