EQ Watch: 11/17-23/22

I had a feeling that there would be another flare-up of significant activity not long after the end of the previous world EQ watch. This one is only 3 days, but it could go on longer or I could end up cancelling. There was already another large earthquake out there. A magnitude 6.9 struck some 200 kilometers off the coast of Bengkulu, Indonesia about 3 hours ago. When it comes to global earthquake watches, I will try to post more where they don't necessarily have to be 5 or more days out. It could even be for just one or two days. Anytime I feel remotely anxious about something big happening somewhere, I should jump on it. There may be a chance it could go away, but it is better than not saying anything at all before something serious does end up happening. Regions in particular that I have been watching are central and northern Alaska, the Kamchatka Peninsula and the Kuril Islands, Japan, Central Asia, the southwestern Pacific Ocean, Indonesia, Santa Cruz Islands region, and possibly Iran... There may be something going on in northern Alaska or perhaps the Yukon Territory. There may not necessarily be something particularly serious in or around Japan, but it is a very active part of the world.
