A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the Kermadec Islands(New Zealand) earlier. There are still heightened levels of activity in the world. Yesterday, there was also a magnitude 5.5 in the Sichuan Province region of China. I have not seen or heard reports of damage or injuries, but it appeared to be alarming to residents. It is a populous area and it must have triggered traumatic memories of the May 2008 earthquake. That was a particularly devastating event. There still could be more going on out there any time now. Other regions to watch may include: Japan(Izu Islands region), the Mediterranean Sea, parts of central Asia(parts of China and/or the Hindu Kush region), Aleutian Islands..
