I decided to renew a world earthquake watch today. When I woke up this morning, there was very little going on out there. However, it has started picking back up again. There may not be loads of moderate activity going on right now, but there is a heightened potential for more significant activity worldwide within the next 5-7 days. It may or may not be active just yet, but so far, the potential for mag. 6+ any day now has increased. Regions to watch may include: Iran, Afghanistan, western China, Japan, Kuril Islands, Kamchatka Peninsula, Indonesia(Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Banda Sea region), Northern Mariana Islands region, southern Alaska, Santa Cruz Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile... It may or may not be heating up out there just yet, but there is a very high potential for more strong earthquake activity somewhere within the week ahead.
