New EQ Watch: 10/14-20/22

A magnitude 6.4 struck east of Papua New Guinea just less than 2 hours ago. Earlier, I made a statement on twitter today indicating that it may not be staying quiet out there much longer and shifted my alert mode avatar to "unrest/instability". There may now be more strong earthquakes on the rise within the next several days so far. At the same time, there could be some gaps in activity, meaning it also may not be a full-on outbreak. A magnitude 7 or greater somewhere out there cannot be ruled out. Regions that may be under the gun might include: southern Alaska or the Aleutian Islands, the Solomon Islands(east of Papua New Guinea, the area most recently hit), the Kuril Islands region, Japan(not certain if anything significant might be going on there, but it is one of the most active places in the world; better safe than sorry), Indonesia, Tonga, Fiji, the Kermadec Islands, Turkey... Again, it does not look that active out there, but at this point, it could end up becoming more active any time now or within the next several days.
