Report: 5/19/22

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck the Macquarie Island region just over an hour ago. There has been no tsunami warning issued following the quake. It struck at a depth of around 10 km(6.2 miles). There could still be more significant activity going on out there in the world today or this weekend so far. There may not be loads of activity going on all over, but the potential threat for more strong earthquake activity somewhere might not be over yet.
