EQ Watch: 5/17-23/22

 




More significant earthquake activity may be on the rise again in the world so far. There has been increasing levels of moderate earthquake activity all day. There is a very high potential now for magnitude 6 or greater this week so far. There could even be a major earthquake somewhere. Regions that are or may be active now include: Japan(off the coast of eastern Honshu, Hokkaido, and the Ryukyu Islands), Indonesia, East Timor, New Guinea, Iran, and the Philippines(Luzon).. Meanwhile, there has been some more seismic activity across the Central and Eastern U.S. over the last day or two. Some more seismic activity has also heated up in the West including California and Washington. At this point, there is a high chance of more serious earthquake activity going on in the world somewhere any time now within the next several days.
