A magnitude 6.0 just struck the Banda Sea region about an hour ago. There have been a couple of significant earthquakes in the world over the past 24 hours - A magnitude 6.0 in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and a mag. 5.8 in the Vanuatu region. It may still be hot out there, so be cautious especially if you live in an earthquake-prone region. Other potentially active regions would include: the Andaman Islands region, the Kuril Islands, Taiwan, Ryukyu Islands, Tonga region..
