EQ Watch: 1/28-2/6/22

There is already some significant activity going on in the world. There is a very high potential for more serious activity within the week ahead. It may or may not be particularly active this weekend, but there is likely to be more significant activity within the next week. There may even be a magnitude 7 or greater somewhere out there. Regions to watch out for may include: Central America(a mag. 6.1 just struck off the southwest coast of Panama this morning), Southwestern Pacific Ocean(Tonga, Vanuatu, Kermadec Islands, Fiji region), Papua New Guinea, Indonesia(Molucca Sea region, Sulawesi, Java, Banda Sea region), potentially Japan, possibly Central Asia(Western China, Myanmar, the Himalayas or Hindu Kush region), Iran, Turkey/Eastern Mediterranean Sea region, Aleutian Islands.. Note that when listing these places, that does not necessarily mean a particularly large event is imminent or that all these areas are going to act up at once. These are just potential candidates for the next set of significant activity. There has also been more seismic activity occurring across parts of the Central and Eastern U.S. There may also be some more seismic activity flaring up in California and Nevada.
