EQ Watch: 8/22-28/21
The activity in the world is increasing again so far. A magnitude 6.8 aftershock struck the South Sandwich Islands last night. More serious activity in the world may be on the rise again any time or day now so far. Regions to watch may include: Myanmar, Indonesia(Nias region, Sumatra, Sulawesi, or the Banda Sea), East Timor, Northern Mariana Islands, Taiwan, Japan(Izu Islands, Honshu, Hokkaido), Kuril Islands, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Iran, Central America, Tonga, Vanuatu, Fiji, Peru, Bolivia, Chile.. There has also been more seismic activity occurring in the Central and Eastern U.S. A magnitude 3.9 struck Oklahoma earlier and small EQs have been becoming a little more frequent on the East coast. More small events have also occurred in Western and Eastern TN and surrounding areas over the past week. Again, there is now a high potential for more strong earthquake activity in the world somewhere any time or day now so far.
