Report: 2.22-23.23

An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in Tajikistan at around 8:37 a.m. local time. It had a focal depth of 10 km(6 miles). The epicenter was 82 km from the border of China and was strongly felt in Kashgar and Artux in the western part of the Xinjiang region. There have already been several moderate aftershocks. There has not been any initial reports of damage, fatalities, or injuries coming out yet. The good news is that this should not be a mass casualty event as this was not in a region with a high population density. I will be making a post on new information tomorrow morning. I had a feeling it was about to become very active again somewhere. I might as well have extended the latest watch a few more days.
