A magnitude 7.0 has struck the Loyalty Islands. It occurred just two hours ago. There was no risk of a tsunami after the earthquake. There has been more activity going on elsewhere. The largest earthquake next to that was a magnitude 5.8 299 km SSE of Ta `u, American Samoa. There was also a magnitude 5.5 184 km southwest of Merizo Village, Guam. There has been some questionable activity going on in Central America most recently. From Panama to northern Nicaragua, there were several minor to moderate-sized earthquakes over the last 24 hours.
