EQ Watch: 9/27-10/4/22

There is currently a rise in global seismic activity so far. There is a high potential for more strong earthquakes somewhere any time now or any day within the next 5-7 days so far. However, I will not be so surprised if it becomes quiet and I end up delaying the watch as it has been very active out there recently. There may or may not be a particularly large earthquake at some point during this watch. Regions in the world to watch out for may include: eastern Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, northwestern Iran, Pakistan or Afghanistan, Indonesia(Sumatra, Java, Banda Sea region), East Timor, Japan, Kuril Islands, Kamchatka Peninsula, Aleutian Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Fiji, Central America, Chile.. I'm also not going to forget about northern Italy as there has been some activity going on over there recently. There also may not be anything of concern going on there, but it is better safe than sorry. There has also been a number of earthquakes taking place in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge(Reykjanes Ridge), but it isn't near land. Meanwhile, more seismic activity is flaring up across parts of the United States. A magnitude 3.3 earthquake occurred near Yucca Valley in Southern California this morning at 6:02(local time). There is more seismic activity going on throughout California. There has also been more seismic activity taking place in western Texas and Oklahoma. There has also been some more signs of activity in western and eastern TN over the past week as well as a few other states east of Oklahoma. Again, there is a new watch now for more potentially serious earthquake activity taking place somewhere in the world any moment or any day now within the week ahead so far.
