Update: 2/24/22

Yesterday was fairly quiet throughout the world in terms of seismic activity. However, it did not remain quiet everywhere for very long. A magnitude 6.1 struck Sumatra killing at least 7 people and dozens of others were injured. Tremors were also felt in neighboring Malaysia and Singapore according to officials. It still may not be over yet. There is still a very high potential for more significant earthquake activity in the world any time or day now. A mag. 7 or greater somewhere within the next several days cannot be ruled out. At the same time, it could eventually fall quiet for now until next month. At this point, the next surge of significant activity with the potential for mag. 7+ somewhere could land around from March 3-11. That is, if this round of significant activity is over by this weekend or early next week. Nothing is ever set in stone, so there is no guarantee of when the next rise in global activity will be.
