EQ Watch: 2/15-23/22

I canceled those last two posts as it has been lagging quite a bit lately. It is not like it has not been acting up anywhere at all this past week. There have been a few quakes out there in the mid to upper magnitude 5 range and it was showing signs of becoming more violent out there somewhere. As for right now, there may be nothing going on. It may or may not become more active today. Things can always change on a dime. There may be more mag. 6+ on the rise within the week ahead, including the possibility of a mag. 7 or greater somewhere. At the same time, it could become quiet for now. There can be periods of little significant activity anywhere for a while. I recall in 2017 as well as 2018 where there were long periods of little to no significant activity anywhere in the world. However, I'm not implying that will probably be the case now. It could become active later today, tomorrow, or by this weekend. It seems sketchy at this point. Areas around the world that could be potential candidates for the next set of significant activity would include: the Eastern Caribbean region, Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands region, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia(Molucca Sea, Banda Sea, Flores Sea, or Sumatra), Philippines(Batan Islands region or Mindanao), Taiwan, Ryukyu Islands region(Japan), possibly Japan proper, Guam or the Northern Mariana Islands.. Meanwhile, some more seismic activity is occurring across parts of the southwestern U.S. again. There could be more going on in the Central and Eastern U.S. this week. There could also be more mag. 4+ going on in Alaska this week as well.
