A magnitude 5.5 struck northern California near the town of East Shore. Residents of Sacramento reported feeling it. It struck at 4:19 p.m. local time. So far, there have been no reports of damage. Meanwhile, there has been a lot of activity taking place in and around Japan lately. There still may be more going on in the world over the next several days. Other places to monitor may include Indonesia, western China, Ryukyu Islands, Kamchatka Peninsula, Solomon Islands, Kermadec Islands, possibly Colombia or the eastern Caribbean... I also have not stopped paying attention to parts of the Mediterranean.
