A magnitude 6.6 struck south of the Kermadec Islands nearly 2 hours ago. There was no risk of a tsunami. There have been numerous earthquakes occurring around the world over the last day or two. A magnitude 5.9 hit Papua New Guinea, another magnitude 5.9 struck Vanuatu, a magnitude 5.5 struck western China, and a 5.7 happened in Indonesia. There still may be a lot going on out there. A magnitude 5.4 struck the Aleutian Islands less than an hour ago. The region of Northern Japan and the Kuril Islands may not be out of the woods yet. My Yurekuru Call has been going off multiple times this weekend.
