Hours ago, a magnitude 6.0 struck Taiwan. So far, there were no reports of damage or injuries. However, the USGS downgraded it to magnitude 5.9. It has been about 2 weeks since the last magnitude 6 or greater anywhere. There are still moderate levels of activity worldwide. There has been a lot of activity going on around Japan. The Kuril Islands may be showing signs of acting up. There has also been more activity taking place in Central America.
