There were reports turning up on my feed of a magnitude 6.5 in the British Columbia area. As I retweeted the reports, I had a feeling there wasn't a strong earthquake anywhere. There so far has been a couple of earthquakes in the high magnitude 5 range over the last few days. The activity is not real low but there have been numerous smaller events in the world. There is still a very high chance of magnitude 6 or greater in the world within the next several days or any time now. Regions that could be candidates for the next significant earthquake may include: the Gulf of Alaska region or possibly the Pacific Northwest coast, the Kuril Islands, Japan(Hokkaido), the Northern Mariana Islands, Central America, Peru, Chile, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu, Indonesia, Myanmar, Afghanistan region... Again, there still may be some more significant activity going on somewhere out there any time or day now so far.
