A magnitude 6.0 struck Papua New Guinea today. There has been a lot of activity going on in that area around the Bismarck Sea. It got rather quiet again yesterday, but there is more going on today so far. There could be a larger earthquake imminent somewhere out there any time now. It could be in the same region or it could be somewhere else such as Japan(Kyushu, Hokkaido, or the Ryukyu Islands), Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran, Greece, Peru, or the Southwestern Pacific. Some more seismic activity has occurred across parts of the U.S. A mag. 3.1 happened in Southern Texas just minutes ago. There could be more going on in other areas such as Western Texas, Eastern New Mexico, California(Northern and potentially Central or Southern), Idaho, or possibly the Central or Eastern U.S. any time or day now. There may also be more mag. 4+ in Alaska any time or day now this week. There again is a very high potential for more large earthquake activity in the world any time or day now so far.
