Extended Watch: 7/16/21

 




There has been some more significant earthquake activity taking place once more in parts of the world. A magnitude 6.2 struck Sulawesi Indonesia today. No casualties have been reported so far. There may still be more significant activity going on in the world within the week ahead so far. It could drag on through July 30th. At the same time, it could die back down. Other regions to watch out for would include: the Kamchatka Peninsula, the Kuril Islands, Izu Islands, Ryukyu Islands, Japan proper(Hokkaido), Western Turkey, Myanmar, Indonesia(Nias, Sumatra), Papua New Guinea, Tonga, Fiji, the Kermadec Islands.. Some more activity has occurred in parts of the U.S. A magnitude 3.2 occurred near Tehachapi, CA and some more activity may be firing up in other areas across the country. Some more earthquake activity has also been taking place in South Central Alaska. A magnitude 4.1 struck near Mentasta Lake in the Mentasta Mountains.
