Update: 2/13/21

A magnitude 7.1 occurred off the coast of Honshu, Japan, near the site of the magnitude 9 that took place a decade ago(coming up). At least 50 people were reported injured and nearly a million households were left without power. The earthquake shook a broad area across eastern Japan Saturday night. There has said to be no threat of a tsunami. Other significant earthquakes have occurred in other active areas today. A magnitude 6.0 occurred off Eastern Papua New Guinea. There seems to be very little activity going on in Southern California right now, but there is a strong potential for more to take place here anytime or day now. There also may be more going on elsewhere in California anytime or day now. There has also been more activity occurring off the coast of Southern Alaska.
