Update: August 7, 2020
So far, more significant earthquake activity has continued in parts of the world. A magnitude 6.4 occurred in the Prince Edward Islands region(Southwest Indian Ridge; by the John Harrison Ridge) around 16 hours ago. A magnitude 4.9 struck Northern Algeria 9 hours ago. There have been reports of damage. That region did not seem to fare very well in an earthquake of that size. People in that area should be cautious in case of a larger event. The quake already has their attention over there. There still could be more serious earthquake activity out there in the world. At the same time, there may not be much else going on for now. However, the threat may also still not be over yet. There is even a possibility for a magnitude 7+ somewhere. It also might not happen, but it does stand of a higher potential somewhere. Regions to watch out for in terms of significant activity include: parts of Indonesia, Banda Sea, Molucca Sea region, East Timor, Papua New Guinea, Bismarck Sea region, Loyalty Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Japan(Honshu or Hokkaido), Kamchatka Peninsula, Komandoeskiye Ostrova region, Iran, Peru, parts of the Caribbean Sea region such as Puerto Rico.. There has been some more seismic activity warming up again in Southern California once more. There could be more going on here this weekend or next week.
