Report: 4/9/22

A magnitude 6.3 earthquake struck Vanuatu a few hours ago. It was larger than the last one that occurred 5 days ago and near the islands of Melampa and Sanma. According to the USGS, there was significant shaking. However, there have not been any news coming out yet, so it is still unknown as to whether there has been any reports of significant damage or injuries. There is a lot of activity going on elsewhere in the world. Earlier, a magnitude 5.7 struck the Aleutian Islands and a mag. 5.8 in the Mid-Indian Ridge. There still may be more taking place out there. Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, parts of Central Asia, and Turkey are some of the areas to watch.
