EQ Watch: 12/12-19/21

Yesterday morning, I was thinking about making a new post, but then it went quiet again and decided not to yet. However, I later realized it was probably about to become active again. A few hours ago, a magnitude 6.5 struck west of Macquarie Island. Fortunately, it was in a remote part of the world underneath the ocean. There could be more significant activity going on elsewhere this week, potentially in areas that are not so remote. So far, there is a very high potential for magnitude 6+ in the world any time or any day now. Regions to watch would include: Pakistan, Iran, the Hindu Kush region, Myanmar, China(Sichuan, Yunnan), Indonesia(Banda Sea region), East Timor, Japan(Hokkaido), Kuril Islands, Aleutian Islands, Chile.. Meanwhile, more activity has occurred across parts of the U.S. More activity has flared up in Western Texas with a mag. 4.1 and there has also been activity taking place in Kansas. There has also been signs of more activity in the New Madrid Seismic Zone over the past week so far. Once again, there is a heightened potential for more strong earthquake activity in the world this week so far.
