July 22, 2020

A magnitude 7.8 earthquake occurred off the Alaska Peninsula late last night. It caused no major damage although a tsunami warning was issued. However, it was cancelled. There continues to be a lot going on out there. I was considering on making a new post yesterday. I was turning my alert avatar on and off all day yesterday. I did not want to post anything because there has already been a lot in the world recently.
There still is a high potential for more strong earthquakes out there. Places that could have significant EQ activity anytime now include: Xizang - China, Myanmar, Andaman and Nicobar Islands region, Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Kuril Islands, Eastern Mediterranean Sea region, Tonga, Vanuatu, Chile, Peru, or Central America..
There once again should also be more activity going on in Southern California any time or day now. There is due to be mag. 4+ in the region within the next week or two. More significant activity is due within weeks or perhaps days at this point. There may also be more activity taking place in Central and/or Northern California. More mag. 3 or 4+ aftershocks may occur in Nevada or the Lone Pine or Mammoth Lakes area of California.
